Not sure if you've read, but the world is getting crowded. Today, this little globe will symbolically reach a human population of 7 billion people, with baby Danica May Camacho being chosen by the UN to represent the 7-billionth.

  On October 22nd, Project Design Company joined Casey Trees, Restore Mass Ave other volunteers in a tree planting to restore greenery along Massachusetts Avenue. The project, which lasted a few hours, aimed to return the tree canopy that existed along Mass Ave nearly a century ago. The planting was done in partnership with the Church of the Pilgrims and the Embassy of Ireland, whose grounds are now a little bit greener thanks to everyone’s efforts.&lt;/p&gt;</content>

PDC won five awards for our submissions to the Graphic Design USA American Design Awards, to be published in the November issue.
Winning projects include our own logo, Paralyzed Veterans of America 2009 Annual Report and Overview brochure, Yoga Service Council Logo, and an advertisement for Host Hotels.&lt;/p&gt;</content>

We closed our offices for a day in June and headed to the Maryland shore for our first official summer retreat. Through creative projects conceived by each team member, we were able to explore our creative side through unexpected ways. We walked through marsh fields, stared eye-to-eye with damsel flies, drank in the sounds of purple finches, watched periwinkles do absolutely nothing… In two words, got inspired.

But don’t get me wrong, we also ate. And swam.&lt;/p&gt;</content>

Summer is coming, and we have a new intern! Shannon Stull, American University Junior, has joined us for the summer. Shannon is a Design major and Multimedia minor. Dan was her instructor this past semester, and we are looking forward to having her be part of the PDC team.
 
 

New Puppy
We also have a canine companion. Lucy has joined the ranks as PDC mascot. She was adopted from the Washington Humane Society the beginning of May.&lt;/p&gt;</content>
